I pulled this image out of an old Aust Home Beautiful some time ago (Sept 2008). It is the lounge of Fiona Kate (click here for details) who runs a fun storage box website.
I love the red and white cushions and throw (anyone who knows me, knows how much I love red and white striped cushions) and the mismatch of frames in the background.
Best of all I adore the playfull nutcracker toy soldiers on her coffee table.
Who said coffee table objects had to be serious.

I like this arrangement of coffee table items - it looks 'real' and not too perfectly organised :)
LOVE this. I agree with above comment by amanda... not to stages or stuffy.
