Vintage hutch

One of my favourite pieces of furniture is an old beat up vintage hutch.
I bought it many years ago at the Paddington Antique Centre when I was a student and somehow got it home in my little tiny Honda City Pro T.
Often I have thought about painting it white but a couple of friends (whose opinion I value highly) told me it has character just the way it is.
Here is my hutch which kind of fails in comparison to the others below but you get the idea.

When I see all the above painted in white I am tempted...

What a lovely piece of furniture. I think your white vision for it would also be lovely. I love the way the 5th picture below is styled.

I see what you are saying, but I still love it in the original state. The pink cups look so totally at home on it.
A dilemma...

Michelle you know I think it looks great just the way it is. I also know that you don't really need to add it to your ever growing list of 'things to paint white' (just trying to be helpful). Michelle

I know exactly what you mean! My old hutch is in the same colour scheme and I keep going to paint it white and then i get pleas not to ruin it's true identity - I just want everything white!!! But too scared to now and i covert ones like these!!!
